A Thousand Word Pictures has been the surprise outcome of following my passions as an actor and storyteller. My first screenplay, Beautiful Goodbye, was conceived out of my desire to write a true ensemble piece for a group of working actors who have been meeting monthly for three years to work and grow in our craft. As a result of workshopping this script and rough-shooting scenes from it, I decided to move forward in producing it as a feature film for release.

For the past three years, I been reading about filmmaking, volunteering behind the camera, attending workshops, panel discussions and Film Festival events. However I have learned the most on the job producing PARKED .

Before I re-entered acting full-time, I served on a creative team for many years and as Drama Director at a large church. I had conceived, written and directed passion plays, sketches and videos but nothing on this scale. However, my desire has always been to explore the complicated humanity in all of us and celebrate the fact that at anytime we can choose a new path, even when it's fraught with messy complications.

I never imagined that these passions and ideas would lead to actually forming a production company and that writing, producing and shooting films would become a reality, but here I am. I hope you'll consider following A Thousand Word Pictures and supporting my efforts to create original RAW -REAL and REDEMPTIVE content that entertains the mind and moves the heart.

Sincerely,

L.A.
